Ipsy Glam Bag: October 2014

Hello my lovelies! I really figured no one was going to the blog, so I haven't posted since the beginning of this year. However, on YouTube I have gotten a few messages about updating the blog between videos... and ya know... I can totally do that. :o) Starting right NOW!

I got my October Ipsy bag this month and let me just say this. Teal = Love.
I am LOVING the bag itself this month, and the products are pretty good overall as well. Here's the breakdown:

Items in my bag:

- City Color : Be Matte Lipstick (My thoughts: Meh. This is an okay product but nothing to write home about. Which is a bummer because I love City Color as a brand. The formula is matte, so it's pretty darn dry which can look chalky. The color itself is great for Fall and looks nice on warm skin tones, but it needs a gloss.)

- Doll 10 Beauty: H2Glo Highlighter (My thoughts: Yay! This is a cream highlight which I'm usually hesitant about, but I was very pleased! The color is light and natural and it blends seamlessly without moving your makeup).

- Figs & Rouge Hand Cream: (My thoughts: Okay, cool. This is a cute trial size that is a nice purse product. The scent is nice, but it's not uber moisturizing. For now it'll work, but as soon as the weather changes I'll be reaching for something more substantial. A+ for packaging though! CUTE!)

- ModelCo: Volumeyes Extreme Black Mascara (My thoughts: Yay! I love ModelCo as a brand and I'm always on the hunt for a good mascara. The wand is bristle which is my preference and the color is a rich black. The only con is it's not warterproof.)

- Skyn Iceland: Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths (My thoughts: Hell Yeah! I tried these out and I love them! They do what they say... rub the cloth together to create a lather and wipe all over your face like any makeup remover cloth. No water needed. It sinks in and removes all face and eye makeup with one cloth. The scent is fresh and it works great on my uber sensitive skin. I'll be buying more.)

Grading Breakdown from worst to best:
Hell No!
Nope.
Meh
Dunno yet
Okay, Cool
Yay!
Hell Yeah!

Influenster Sally Hansen Polish Review #CSMTKO

Holy Crap. I mean it. Holy crap! I am super excited about this. I received the Sally Hansen Influenster box to try out three nail polishes from their Salon Manicure collection. Unfortunately one of them came broken, so I could only test out two... but holy crap. I am AMAZED by the staying power.

I wore Pat on the Black this past week and it lasted EIGHT DAYS before it chipped. Even then, I probably could have just done touch ups on the ends and kept it another week.

I went to CVS and picked up a few more colors from the collection this week. I had some beauty bucks to use which was great, but they were retailing from $6-8.00 depending on what store I was in. Walmart may have the better prices for them!

These were the colors from the box. The green was the broken one for me.

My CVS display looks similar to this

Get back to it!

Wow, friends it's been a while! I haven't been away from making videos on my channel, but I CERTAINLY have not made any blog posts in a bit. That needs to change! I have a few great ideas coming up for blogging, but I tend to wonder if anyone reads the blog. I think that's partially why I never update. I assume I'm not getting anyone to benefit from it. Thoughts? Suggestions?

In the meantime here are some links to videos I have done recently:

Influenster Review: Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation

Influenster sent me a special VoxBox with a sample of the Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation!
Color: Light Porcelain

As you can see, the color is still a little light on me. But I'd say by mid-winter it will be a PERFECT match.

The color wore well on me and didn't settle into my pores or fine lines. It also didn't oxidize after long wear, which was awesome!

A little goes a super long way, so if you get this, only use a little bit... maybe a pea-sized amount.

Rumors are True: Naked 3 Palette to be Released!!!!

Well ladies (and gents... whatever your pleasure), I am super pleased to confirm that amid rumors, YES the Naked 3 palette is being released by Urban Decay. They confirmed on Twitter recently. :)

I came across some photos of the palette from others in the blogosphere so I will share below:

As you can see, the palette focuses much more on rose-gold, pinks and lighter tones. I'm happy to see a difference in many of the color options. I own both Naked, Naked 2 and Naked Basics (yeah I have a problem) and I must say I'm more excited for this one based off the photos I've seen.

Naked Basics

Sound off. What do you think of the new palette from the photos released? If you are interested you should sign up for updated from Urban Decay:
