Influenster Review: Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation

Influenster sent me a special VoxBox with a sample of the Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation!

Color: Light Porcelain

As you can see, the color is still a little light on me. But I'd say by mid-winter it will be a PERFECT match. 

The color wore well on me and didn't settle into my pores or fine lines. It also didn't oxidize after long wear, which was awesome! 

A little goes a super long way, so if you get this, only use a little bit... maybe a pea-sized amount.

Rumors are True: Naked 3 Palette to be Released!!!!

Well ladies (and gents... whatever your pleasure), I am super pleased to confirm that amid rumors, YES the Naked 3 palette is being released by Urban Decay. They confirmed on Twitter recently. :)

I came across some photos of the palette from others in the blogosphere so I will share below:

As you can see, the palette focuses much more on rose-gold, pinks and lighter tones. I'm happy to see a difference in many of the color options. I own both Naked, Naked 2 and Naked Basics (yeah I have a problem) and I must say I'm more excited for this one based off the photos I've seen.

New Product Alert: Maybelline Color Tattoo Gilded in Gold Limited Edition

Alert! ALERT! Word on the street is Maybelline has released their Limited Edition 24hr Color Tattoos for Fall 2013. Many bloggers have mentioned sightings at Bed Bath and Beyond. I got to mine a bit too late. The display was already empty. :( Boooooo! So I am on the hunt for these three colors:

NEW Almay Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms!

Hello friends! So the roomie was shopping at a local Rite Aid the other day and stumbled upon these Almay Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms! I hadn't even heard that these were coming out quite honestly. 

I used to buy Almay products all the time... actually my go-to foundation used to be by Almay. However, over time they kind of fell off my radar. And really off of everyone's radar it seems. My local drugstores have very small or NO Almay racks! What happened Almay!? :(

That being said, I was excited that she found these balms and really liked them! So I thought I'd try to get them for myself...

They have a nice sweet smell that isn't overwhelming. As far as texture, they are very smooth and buttery and not sticky like a lot of glosses. They leave a light sheen of color. Not ultra pigmented, but a nice toned down color that is complimentary over lip liner/stick or by itself. Kudos to Almay!

And stating the obvious here... I LOVE the packaging. It is simple, sleek, and modern. Not overstated and they didn't waste space on excess packaging, but they still have a good amount in there! (I'm looking at you Maybelline!) which makes for easy transport (I keep a gloss in my pocket so the less bulky the better). 

I ended up picking up four colors today from my local Bed, Bath and Beyond (L to R):

- 200 - Nudetrients

- 700 - Cantaloupe Cream

- 600 - Blooming Balm

- 300 - Apple a Day

And the best part my friends.... 

They are only $4.99 each!!!

So these are not officially released yet (I think the actual launch is mid June), so if you all see them out and about post where you see them! So far we have sightings at:

 Rite Aid and Bed,Bath & Beyond in the northern part of Virginia

Okay, okay. I know I haven't posted in TWO MONTHS! I'm a bad blogger. :(
However, if you follow this blog and you don't follow my YouTube then you're missing out! I have been posting YT videos each week, so you can always check in there. Being a student and professor has drained my time and energy as of late (not to say I'm unhappy, I'm certainly not). So I've had less time to film and practically no time to blog.

I've found myself running very late for work on Tuesdays and Thursdays since I have to get up at 6:45am. :( Ugh! But since I'm working all day I still want my hair to look somewhat decent. So here is my 5 minute style for the days I don't have time to look fancy. :)

I basically just spray my hair with heat protectant and brush through. Take about 1" sections of hair and pull the straightener down the hair shaft, curving at the end by flicking my wrist. I like my hair to curl under. I curl my bangs away from my face by straightening with the iron straight up in the air. Finish with argan oil on the ends to prevent splitting and spray with flexible hold hairspray. Then haul ass to work! :)
